No One else shares Your Vision... and that's OK.

Do others really share the vision you have?  Do they need to?
You have a vision for your life.  You work diligently to guide yourself through a beautiful journey that brings you closer each day to a future destination.  You feel it so strongly that you look to others around you to confirm it, to appreciate it, to support it.

But have you asked yourself if others can really share that vision you have?  They probably don't. After all, they have their own lives to lead, not yours...

...and that's OK.

With all the pressures of life, and the responsibilities and distractions, it can be hard enough keeping own motivation high let alone expect others to keep up with you.  Sure, it may feel sad when a family member, a good friend or colleague does not share the same enthusiasm for our dreams in life... You may long for their support, but never get it... You may reach out for some help, only to be denied...

It's fine because they are not the ones following your vision, you are.  As difficult or frustrating as it may be, you must accept and feel comfortable with the fact that while these people play various roles in your life they are not here to fulfill your vision. Only you can do that.

This is not to suggest that you abandon personal relationships with these people.  Having loving, caring relationships with family and friends is essential in life.  At times, they can be great allies, they can be great mentors, great cheerleaders, and great champions.  However, you should not expect any of these things from them nor use guilt as a tactic to try and get it... again, they are not following your life vision, you are.

Commit today to look within yourself for motivation and confirmation that you fulfilling your vision, not be dependent upon others to provide it.

When you take full responsibility for following your own vision, and stop assuming others will magically appear to do it for you, you are on your way to sagedom.  This is a true sign of a self-made sage.
