Water the Flowers, but also Pull the Weeds

Eliminate the barriers holding you back and you'll reach your destination much faster.
It is important to discover your strengths and nurture them, but while doing so you must be careful not to take your eyes off obstacles getting in the way.

These hurdles can hold you back and until you remove them they will continue to distract from your real objective of building upon strengths.

The goal of finding your inner sage is to find your inner light and let it shine out on the world.  To do so, you must nourish yourself with knowledge, with experience, with good health, with courage and a positive mindset.

At the same time you must replace bad habits with good ones, get in the game, and remember that time is on your side.

Akin to tending a garden, you must ensure not only that the flowers receive enough water and sunlight, but also that they have enough room to grow and don't become overtaken by weeds.

If you spend all your time maximizing your strengths, you will no doubt become highly capable in those specific areas... but you'll constantly be dragged down by the heavy weights upon your shoulders.  Just as there are many things we are good at, there are also things we are not good at...

It is not wise to ignore those things, but rather to acknowledge them and figure out how to not let them get in the way.

If you spend time to eliminate the barriers that are holding you back, you'll reach your destination much faster.   Much fast than if you focused only on your strengths.

So remember, make sure to water the flowers, but also keep in mind ya gotta pull the weeds.
